Why Do You Love music?

I remember what really got me into music was when I was 12 or so and hearing this pop punk band use a recorder on one of their songs. Been hooked ever since.

Thoughts on the new album?

This album has songs that I like playing and enjoy listening to. As long as it has that, I don't need much else.

Favorite quote?

Pizza vs Burrito?

This is close, but if it's a breakfast burrito then there's no contest.

Where are you from?

San Diego. I grew up in east county but I try not to tell people that. If you're from here you'll understand.

Why do you love music?

There's an old quote about "when words fail, music speaks.". To me that was an assurance that even when I'm going through a hard time and nobody can say anything to make me feel better, I can always put my headphones on and live in the music.

Thoughts on the new album?

I'm really excited for this album. I used to just play as fast and crazy as I could but this album really pushed my limits on writing drum parts. Definitely some of the most technical stuff I've ever played.

Why do you love music?

I started playing in school bands in 5th grade on trombone, picked up a few other instruments, including guitar, which snowballed from there into bands, songwriting and engineering.

It's probably total dogshit.

Why do you love music?

Uh, why don't I... I mean I hate most music, let's be honest. No haha, I love those moments where you hear something and you get goosebumps from it. It's kinda an inexplicable thing but when it happens it's something special.

Thoughts on the new album?

Honestly I'm surprised we finished it. With everything that's happened in the last year, from losing members to signing my first record deal it's been a wild ride. But I think it's some of the best music I've ever been a part of.

I love music because it's a soundtrack for every event in my life and can trigger a flood of feelings in an instant.

I think the new album is a good foundation to build from.
